Today I’m bringing to you Erin & John’s beautiful spring North Carolina wedding. I met Erin & John last year at Lacy & Louie’s wedding here in Florida. Erin was Lacy’s maid of honor, and all I remember of Erin was her big smile and her infectious laugh. Lacy was a nervous bride (she’s not one for getting her picture taken!) but Erin was by her side all day, making her laugh her nerves away. So when Erin contacted me about doing her wedding, and then told me it was going to be in Charlotte, NC, I was beyond thrilled. I absolutely LOVE traveling (just ask my husband, I’m trying to plan trips every chance I get!) and getting to travel for my job is even more amazing. Erin & John made my trip definitely worth while, with their beautiful wedding at the historic Queens University. I had an absolute blast with these two, and Erin just kept me smiling all day. Her sense of humor and smile was once again, infectious. The details were perfect, and so were they. I had such an amazing time. After the wedding was over (and before Erin had even seen her photos) she sent me one of the sweetest thank you notes I have ever received. I wanted to share a little of it with you (hope that’s ok Erin!) because I keep it on my desk so that I can read it whenever I need a little pick me up. Congratulations again you two on such a beautiful wedding and what I know will be a beautiful marriage. You know I’ll make the trip back up when you have babies on the way! ;)
“Ashley, I’ve honestly been spending every waking minute trying to figure out just how to thank you for everything you did for the wedding. From flying up to NC – to doing a shoot the day before – to LITERALLY letting me use your lipstick!! I cannot tell you how thankful I am for you :) Thank you, thank you, thank you for capturing our special day forever… but especially for just being you! (yeah – FYI – you were totally one of the only people who kept me calm that day) Much love, Erin”
Erin, her bridesmaids, and her adorable flowergirls
And John and his guys weren’t too shabby either. Men just look so good in suits
Waiting for Erin to come down the isle!
One of my favorites from the day. I loved this little moment between the two of them, and one of the flower girls.
There’s that smile and laugh!
I think they were just *a little* excited about being married
Favorite, hands down. I love the light, the building, and him kissing her hand :)
Best exit shot ever! Her family tore the petals off all of the bridesmaid’s bouquets at the end of the day to throw for their exit :) Awesome
Congratulations again you two!
