Thank you for a wonderful 2014!

With the year coming to an end, I thought it would be best to wrap up 2014 with a few updates! 2014 has been one of the most amazing years for Ashley McCormick Photography; I hit an incredible milestone of 200 weddings this past March, and I will be finished off the year with 30 weddings and 80 portrait sessions completed! Whew! Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, so much for supporting me and being a part of my business this year. I hope that I get to see many of your faces in 2015 as well! :)

Changes in Pricing

For 2015 my pricing and packages are changing a bit. Wedding packages now range between $3000-$6800, and portraits will be between $300-$800. To see a more detailed list of what these include, please CLICK HERE. Returning clients will still receive a $50 discount on any session, and also, returning clients get 20% off all print and product orders from their session.

Taking Some Time for Me

So with the changes in pricing also comes a little break for me. As immensely grateful as I am to all of my 2014 clients, 110 wedding/portraits were a little more than I could handle at times! Mostly, I missed out on a lot of special events with my family and friends throughout the year. I decided that life is too short to work all the time, I want to spend more time with that guy in the photo on the right! :) So starting in 2015 I will only be taking 20 weddings instead of my usual 30. I’m already booked with 15 so I’ll only be accepting 5 more. For portraits, I’ll be taking sessions on weekdays only unless already scheduled. I hope that everyone understands the need to slow down and enjoy life a bit more, and I hope that I can still work with all of my amazing portrait clients Monday-Friday!

  • Levi Adgate - Nothing is more important than family! You owe it to yourself! So thankful for all the hard work you do! Happy to be a part of it! Enjoy your new changes in 2015! =)

  • Pamela Cassell - Good for you sweetie, you’re getting into your moms kind of schedule!!!

  • Danielle Durden - Good for you girl! (But I’m sooo happy we caught you when we did) :)

Can I just say how in love I am with Kristin’s red skirt, pearls and leopard heels? She’s a classic girl after my own classic loving heart. And Paul looked so dapper in his suit. I love it when my couples get a little fancy at their sessions! We were lucky that we had absolutely gorgeous weather for their session, but Kristin’s little touches made it feel so cozy and wintery. I love that! Especially here in Florida, we don’t get much of a winter. I had such a blast with these two at the always gorgeous Rollins College, I cannot wait until their wedding in March!

Wow. I cannot BELIEVE that today marks the 9th year for me shooting weddings and portraits. NINE YEARS PEOPLE!! I don’t know that I’ve done anything in my life for 9 years… not even marriage! (We’re on 8.5) And what an incredible 9 years its been. With over 200 weddings shot and I can’t even think of how many portrait sessions (300 maybe??), the last 9 years have been more amazing than I could have even imagined. I am so incredibly grateful for my career, something I truly never even thought I’d do. Not that I would trade it for anything (I seriously wouldn’t) but I never even considered photography as a career. I was always an art kid (theater, dance, piano and art classes were my jam growing up. No sports for this girl) so I knew art would be the focus of my career, but I was never sure in what form. I originally planned to do graphic design (which I still have a love for!) but after taking a photography class my second semester at FSU (the only art class I could get a seat in!) my teacher encouraged me to pursue photography more and suggested transferring to Daytona’s photography program through UCF. So I did, not knowing what I was going to do with it.  But in my first photography semester, a girl I worked with at a local coffee shop was getting married and asked if I’d like to shoot at her wedding. And that’s when I fell in love with it. I slowly started getting more and more shooting jobs, mostly through friends (thank you to all of you who trusted me in those early years!) and 9 years later, here I am.

I wish that I could give away a million sessions to express how immensely grateful I am to each and every one of my clients, fans, family and friends. You have all been so supportive of me, so encouraging and so trusting. It is no small thing to trust someone to document the most important moments of your lives, and the fact that you all have trusted me means more than you’ll ever know. Truly.

  • Jennifer Holderby - Congrats on 9 years! We love our wedding and engagement photos. Everyone who comes to our house tells us how beautiful they are.

  • Brittany Nicole Rose - With so many recent changes in my life- purchasing a home, an engagement, and soon to be graduating college, I couldn’t imagine documenting all of these moments with anyone other than with my biggest supporter and cheerleader! In choosing an engagement session, we could celebrate and relish in these moments, which are the baby steps to the path in life, that we’ve worked hard to build TOGETHER!

  • Kristen Bay - I would love to do a family shoot, we haven’t had professional photos in years and our time together is always short!!

  • Patricia Greenberg - Congrats on 9 years! You do amazing work and whoever wins the sessions will have some awesome shots. We would go with maternity shots or baby shots for baby Greenberg!

  • Stacey Awalt Cain - We would love to win this! We already have a family session booked for December but it would be nice to just get pictures of me and Kyle.

  • Stephanie Gallop Po - I’d still love a portrait session with our cats ;) although that’s not very practical! A dream would be to take pictures at some of our favorite places in DC. Travel fees, of course, would apply :)

  • Nicole Dionne - I would love to have a family session!

  • Ashley Ruiz-Margenot - A newlywed or a family session would be so awesome! I would love to get photos with my mom.

  • Mary Bell - Ashley, congrats on the anniversary! I’m so grateful that we found you to capture our wedding and our precious Oscar. We would love to do a session next summer to celebrate Emilia’s first birthday!

  • Grace Srichomkuan - I would love to win a photo shoot to just capture my husband and I’s love for each other, and also our goofiness. We didn’t really have a fun engagement photo (according to me anyways) since we did it within a studio in Thailand. I’d love to do an outside shoot!

  • Kylee Gardner - So awesome Ashley. Congrats on 9 years!!

  • Megan Westmoreland - i would love to win a portrait session! we’ll be needing a christmas card photo soon :) congrats on 9 years!

  • Mel Peters - I’d love a nice photo session with my honey! he’s not exactly model material so it’s difficult to get pictures together that don’t include half of my outstretched arm!

  • Jessica Haydu Wicker - We would love 1 year photos of Harper with a cake smash!

  • Dan Thomas - Portrait session once we are married

  • Annie Butler - I saw your work from a friend’s engagement shoot. It’s beautiful! I would love to win a session!

  • Rachel Snider - I would choose an engagement shoot! :)

  • Amanda Kuepker - I would love to win a photo shoot!

  • Jessica Gardner - I would love to do a portrait session with my new husband!

  • Kate Hamrick - Id love to do a first birthday shoot for Cora!

  • Lisa Riner - We have a new baby coming in January!

  • Liz Wilson - Since we just got engaged in September, I would have to choose an engagement shoot! :)

  • Dorian Vogt McGill - I would love a family session!

  • Sydney Perez Alexander - Congratulations Ashley, you deserve it! Your work is absolutely stunning!

  • Claudia Tamayo Friedel - If we won, we would love a portrait session sometime in early June!

  • Jourdan Cooney - I’d do a family shoot!

  • Stephanie Combs - I would LOVE to win a family session!! My goal is to try and take family photos every year and since our first anniversary is coming up, I am sad we don’t have photos. My husband and I live in Texas now (originally from Florida) and I have had the hardest time finding great photographers in our area! I have just given up! Since we have family in Florida, we wil be back to visit within the next year. Here’s hoping :)

Julie & Dan were an absolute joy to photograph. Besides being ridiculously photogenic, their love just shone through in every photo I took. And it didn’t hurt that we had the always gorgeous Cypress Grove Estate House as our backdrop! That place and the park is my favorite in all of Orlando. I was so excited to kick off my fall season with these two, it made for a great start :). I hope you enjoy their photos, I’m heading back to Cypress Grove today for a wedding! Have a beautiful weekend everyone!

  • Ambia Valentine - Beautiful pictures!

  • Kristen Bachman - They are the best…and so are you Ashley…what a great match :). Beautiful!

This post is long overdue! I photographed this darling couple this past May in a field on the side of the road. I always love when you can find such beauty in a random spot! These two were so cute together, and I just loved Mary Beth’s skirt. She made it herself just for the shoot!! I know their wedding this November will be just as perfect. I cannot wait to celebrate their big day!

  • Laura Wong - Just beautiful!

Brynn & Robert had a perfect wedding at Disney’s Grand Floridian Wedding Pavillion and at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. Their wedding was a destination, coming all the way from California to celebrate their big day at the happiest place on earth :). Having never met these two in person, it was so fun to see how much the loved each other and get to know them a little more on their wedding day. The skies threatened rain all afternoon (it is the summer in Florida after all!) but we lucked out and it only rained while we were indoors. Since the pair got married over the 4th of July weekend, they had a subtle red white and blue theme to their wedding. And Disney never leaves a detail undone, with little Mickey’s hidden throughout their day. But one of my favorite details were the amazing photo booth props Brynn found on Etsy. They were the hair of all the Disney princesses! You’ll have to scroll down to see their awesomeness (and also see them on 4 guys ;) ). I had such a great time with these two, I’m so glad I got to be a part of their day. Wishing you two a lifetime of happily ever after!
