Published! : Southern Weddings Magazine

Earlier this year I set some goals for myself and one of them was to be published in a national bridal magazine. By the time June came around I had only submitted one thing with no response. I was slightly disheartened, but then again, I had only submitted one thing and hadn’t tried further than that. In July, I saw that Southern Weddings had an image call, asking for all sorts of photos. From rings, bouquets, grooms, shoes, etc. They wanted the details! So I submitted a bunch of photos and waited. Weeks later I kept seeing the SWmag ladies post how they were sending out email telling people to get their high res images in. But I wasn’t getting any emails. My spirits dropped again, and just as I thought it must be too late for them to ask for any more, I received an email from Emily at SW asking for the high res file of one of my grooms. I couldn’t believe it!! My goal to be published was going to happen! And even though my photo is small on the page, I couldn’t be more grateful. One of my photos was selected to be featured in one of the best wedding magazines in the country, and was put on the page next to greats such as Jose Villa, Jasmine Star and Jessica Claire. I am so very thankful to the ladies at Southern Weddings for selecting one of my images to grace their pages, they have put together a stunning magazine and I am so happy to be a part of it.

So if you’re at your local bookstore, pick up a copy of Southern Weddings and turn to page 145! You’ll see me there in the corner :)
